Ryan (he/him) is a queer writer from Dayton, Ohio, and an adjunct professor. He completed his MFA in Creative Writing at Eastern Kentucky University’s Bluegrass Writers Studio. Ryan’s nonfiction and poetry have been featured in No Tokens, Flights, Longridge Review, Red Noise Collective, Miracle Monocle, The Uncommon Grackle, Meniscus, Free Spirit’s short story anthology 7 Deadly Sins, Wingless Dreamer’s poetry anthology Vanish in Poetry, and others.
In 2019, his poem "Providence" placed third in the Poetry: Adult category of Sinclair College’s national writing contest. His flash fiction story “Binge” was long listed for Hunger: The Best of Brilliant Flash Fiction 2014-2019, and his hybrid form chapbook Americano was long-listed for multiple awards.
Ryan’s essay “Dress” was nominated for The Pushcart Prize (2025). When he isn’t advocating for the Oxford comma, Ryan is [exploring] a town near you.
